Cryptic Crossword Clues

It’d always stumped me how to solve cryptic crosswords. Then I looked up the basics of, and have been practicing since. Fun. More fun than synonym-finding — which was great for building vocabulary, but not challenging enough.

Still, cryptic clues can be frustrating. Was going through some simple ones and a few definitions or answers made me raise an eyebrow and borrow several more hairline ones.

Examples:

  • “Just revenge — sense I’m crazy” = Nemesis
  • “Exclusive school raising paper money” = Note

Maybe I didn’t understand the clues?

P.S. Did you find the link in the previous post?
