War! What Is It Good For?!

Apparently, it’s good for inspiration and writing motivation: Sleep vs. write down plot bunny vs. write secret project vs. play mobile games. Do none of those. Instead, get up and type a blog post. Um…

So, the next day, it was arrive at the office at the usual time, but spend most of the morning being counterproductive: Plot bunny vs. secret project vs. ploughing through work (needs about 2 hours’ work, tops) vs. more blog posts.

The afternoon rolls in and the war effort transforms into: Plot bunny vs. secret project vs. more blog posts. The work work has vanished – it was completed between morning and afternoon meeting.

Turns out that writing blog posts won: Uses the computer and looks like actual work work, not personal stuff. Hard to disguise personal stuff so no one (including yours truly) gets into trouble because there’s not enough work right now. Not because the business is doing badly, but because HQ have yet to send any of their excess projects to this office.

However, once home again, the secret project and plot bunnies won. For a while. Before gaming reared its head and demanded its turn. Except it doesn’t get a turn till the kitties have had theirs.

And the winner of this war? Me.

Muwahahaha!
