Was locking up last night on automatic…
The door comprises heavy-duty double-glazed glass and a solid metal and wood frame. It’s about 7 feet tall and 3 feet wide. It slides easily thanks to the rails in the ceiling and floor, so its weight is manageable horizontally. Door handle is recessed and about midway down the frame. Simplest way to shut this door is to pull and let go.
So I pulled. I didn’t let go. Door slammed into my thumb.
Croaked and leapt around for 10 minutes to the alarm and puzzled delight of two kitties. Only thought: “OWWWWWWWW!”
Thumb throbbed for the rest of the night. Sigh.
