Previously, I mentioned medication and living with less receptivity to inspiration. Well, once inspiration is received, writing through the medication is hard. You have to force the muse to work: The mind breaks through from one side, while the subconscious does the same from the other.
While the medication provides stability, it has erected a barrier that muffles a lot of the creativity. And it is not a barrier that can be circumnavigated. Instead, it needs to be broken. Or at least, I need to drill a hole in it.
Some days, it’s like pulling teeth. But each time it gets a little easier to tap into the creativity well behind the wall without unleashing the negatives surrounding it.
And the manifestiation of this creativity is the “new project” — a secret one whose name won’t be revealed or its premise discussed till much later.
